The Regional Training Center of the Agricultural Training Institute in the Cordillera through the Partnership and Accreditation Section (PAS) successfully conducted the examination for the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) applicants held at the Sab-atan hall, ATI-RTC-CAR, BSU Compd., La Trinidad, Benguet on February 10, 2025.

The primary objective of the examination is to identify and endorse the qualified applicants with complete documentation for batch 6. Successful candidates will be recommended to the ATI-CO for the national screening.

In his opening message, Assistant Center Director Maximino R. Aromin Jr. acknowledged that one of the challenges of today is the declining interest of the youth in agriculture, but programs like FYFIPT are one of the interventions that can ignite their passion.

Before the examination, a brief orientation was presented by Ms. Tiffanie Grace Beñgeg. The session covered the program’s guidelines, requirements, and an overview of the FYFIPT Program, ensuring that applicants clearly understood their roles and responsibilities. The discussion also included the duties of key stakeholders such as the DA-ATI, LGUs, MECO, and TECO.

Based on the assessment, all of the seven out of the 10 applicants have successfully passed. The three applicants were not able to come due to personal reasons. The exam was assisted by Mr. Jaypee Na-oy, Alternate 4H Club Focal, Ms. Tiffanie Grace Bengeg, and Ms. Justine Jayne L. Alcantara, OJT Trainee from CLSU.

Since all of the applicants had been previously validated, the regional selection committee focused solely on conducting interviews and obtaining their farm experiences and trainings attended.

All seven applicants will be endorsed to ATI-CO for the national evaluation.
