To ensure completeness of the applicants’ documentary requirements, Ms. Veronica B. Siloy, the RBO Focal Person, intently checked all the necessary requirements, appropriate signatures, and filling of the forms if fully accomplished. She also gave the overview, and the general basic requirements about the program. She pointed out important factors to consider including the duties and responsibilities of a YFFLTPJ intern. Since the program’s inception, the ATI has produced a total of 544 young farmers graduates from the Program.
The exam was assisted by Mr. Carevem Bayawa, Ms. Khate Lonogan, and Ms. Tiffanie Grace Bengeg, all Technical Support Staff from PAS.
This is the 5th batch and by far, the most numbered applicants. Historically most applicants came from Kalinga, this time, all of the provinces are well represented. The interns will be deployed to Japan this coming July 2025.
The YFFLTP in Japan is a commitment of the Japanese government to the ASEAN regions through the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) and the Japan Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). To ensure the program’s continuity and sustainability, the management of the program turned over to ATI on September 25, 2014 as part of its regular activities under the 4-H Club Program and Rural-Based Organizations.
