An Experience Based Enhancement Course: Training for RCEF LSA Cooperators and Stakeholders recently took place at DA-ATI-RTC 12 in Tantangan, South Cotabato. This event brought together participants from 19 RCEF-LSA's in CAR, PhilRice Isabela, TESDA Ifugao, LGU Alfonso Lista, DA-RFO-CAR, and BPI-NSQCS. The training spanned from October 9-11, 2023.

The training aimed to explore a wide range of rice cultivation techniques, irrigation methods, and pest control strategies, and to subsequently apply practical knowledge to enhance rice production practices of the RCEF-LSA’s. This involves analyzing and evaluating innovative rice production methods showcased by the different LSA’s visited to identify suitable technology for adoption. Integrating innovative technologies and sustainable farming approaches witnessed during the tours into the Farmer Field Schools' curriculum is one of the main goals.

RCEF EBEC IN SOX

The inclusion of EBEC in the training course for Learning Site Operators also strengthens the conduct of Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and technology development. These tours expose operators to innovative technologies used in rice production, allowing them to assess their suitability for implementation in FFS. They can incorporate these technologies into the training curriculum, showcasing them to farmers and promoting their adoption.

The activity inspired and motivated Learning Site Operators by showcasing success stories and best practices in rice production. Participants witness the achievements of progressive rice farms, innovative techniques, and sustainable farming models. These experiences ignite enthusiasm and a sense of purpose, leading to improved performance and enhanced outcomes at the learning site.
