The Center continued to intensify the registration of AEWs through the Unified Extension System Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Information System (UnExSys) in the entire Cordillera Administrative Region. As of July 9, 2024, a total of 957 registered AEWs were achieved representing 83% of the entire 1,155 AEW population in the entire region. Kalinga province sets the record for the most number of AEWs who registered in the system with 169 AEWs (96%) out of its total 176 AEWs . The second spot goes to Mt. Province with 134 (92%) registered AEWs out of its 146 AEWs. Tied at the 3rd place goes to Abra with 180 (81%) registrants out of its total AEWs of 223 and Benguet including Baguio City with 199 (81%) registrants out of 245 AEWs. The 4th place was Apayao Province with 148 (77%) registrants out of its 191 AEWs and the 5th place was Ifugao with 127 (73%) registrants out of 174 AEWs.
It is aimed that the remaining 17%, equivalent to 198 AEWs shall be completed by the end of the 3rd quarter.
ATI, as the lead in the advancement of agriculture and fisheries extension services and aligning with the Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (RA 8435) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. particularly Rule 88.4. stipulating the establishment of a computerized database on the extension force. In adherence to this mandate. ATI has developed the Online Agricultural Extension Worker (AEW) Registry System within the ambit of the Unified Extension Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Information System (UNEXSYS). The system implemented the creation of online profiles for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in Local Government Units (LGUs) using its Online AEW Registry System. aiming to collect and manage their personal information. Additionally, this can be utilized as a tool for organizing extension initiatives as well as for identifying the needs and gaps of AEWs.//With reports from Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit.
