ATI-Cordi Team Conducts Field Validation for FYFIPT Batch 5 Applicants

The ATI-Cordillera through the Partnership and Accreditation Section (PAS) conducted the field validation of the residence and farms of the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) batch 5 applicants on July 19, 2024 for Kalinga and July 30-31, 2024 for Benguet, respectively.

Ms. Veronica B. Siloy, RBO Focal Person, headed the validation team. With her is Ms. Lona S. Alboc, technical support staff who accompanied her for the validation and counterchecked the information provided by the applicants in their respective application documents. Β According to Ms. Siloy, they got positive responses from the applicants’ parents as well as other family members on their awareness of the application of their son/daughter/sibling/s regarding the FYFIPT.

The validation team briefed and explained to the applicants’ family members regarding the pertinent information, conditions, and requirements of the said program. Farm validation was also done to verify if the applicant is an experienced farmer as written in their application. Also, the team validated any existing farms of the applicants where they can apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their internship.

Ms. Siloy said that after the on-site field validation of the FYFIPT applicants, a regional evaluation would be done at the Center headed by the Center Director. They will finalize who will be qualified to be submitted for the national and final table evaluation at the ATI-Central Office.//with reports from Ms. Veronica Siloy, RBO Focal
