The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 8 is one with the nation in celebrating March as the National Women’s Month. Aligned with the Philippine Commission on Women's (PCW) recurring theme for 2023-2028, "WE for gender equality and an inclusive society," the 2025 celebration carries the sub-theme "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas". This theme underscores the commitment to empowering women, promoting gender equality, and ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities, as enshrined in Republic Act 9710 (Magna Carta of Women).
Echoing the administration's call for inclusive economic and social transformation, the 2025 NWMC emphasizes translating gender equality policies into tangible improvements in women's lives. "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas" expresses hope for a future where all women, especially those from underserved and marginalized communities, benefit from gender equality. This focus on inclusivity ensures that no woman is left behind in pursuing empowerment and equal opportunity.
To actively contribute to this vital mission, ATI-RTC 8 prepared a series of activities designed to spark meaningful dialogue and address critical issues surrounding gender equality. These initiatives will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, skill-building, and collective action, accelerating the advancement of women's rights and empowerment within the agricultural sector and beyond.
