The 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) is an annual nationwide observance from November 25 to December 12. It calls for unity among all genders and sectors of society to finally put an end to violence in all its forms.

The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 8 is actively joining the nation's 2024 18-Day Campaign to End VAW. The 2022-2027 recurring campaign theme is "UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines,", with the 2024 sub-theme "VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!" This campaign highlights the powerful impact of merging efforts toward a VAW-free Philippines. It also supports the United Nations' UNiTE by 2030 to End VAW Campaign.

In support of the national campaign and a movement to promote #VAWfreePH, the ATI-RTC 8 and GAD Committee organized an 18-day series of activities for staff members to participate in. Each day, the designated VAWC officers led activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting a workplace environment where everyone can contribute to ending violence against women. The campaign underscores ATI-RTC 8's belief that each individual has a role in addressing this critical issue and fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace for all.

The Orange Exhibit: Journey towards a VAW-free Philippines was installed at the campaign's kick-off ceremony. It chronicles the nation's progress in the fight against VAW and inspires continued commitment to this cause at the GAD corner, which also consists of the photocards of VAWC #JuanaSays.

Aside from the official campaign hashtag, the PCW also encouraged using #FilipinoMarespeto and #SafeSpacesKasaliTayo. With these hashtags and highlighting ways to promote awareness in the workplace, the GAD Committee hosted an Empowered Parenting workshop for its staff. The workshop, led by Life Coach Ms. Marife F. Garfin from the Health and Wellness Coaching Center, focused on fostering a culture of respect within families and inspiring others to take action against gender-based sexual harassment (GBSH). The ultimate goal was to create safer and more inclusive spaces for all.

The culminating activity of the campaign was concluded during the ATI-RTC 8 Excel Day on December 12-13, at Layao Site for Integrated Farm, one of the Learning Sites of ATI-RTC 8 in Marabut, Samar.
