As a celebration for Women’s Month 2022, ATI-RTC 8 conducted a series of activities that cater to the mental and physical well-being for all ATI 8 staff.
On March 22, 2022, the Center conducted an activity titled, “Kalusugan ng ATIng #JuanAtJuana Bigyang Halaga”. The said gathering inspired ATI 8 staff to have that sense of work and life balance especially with the relationships they have with their families.
For the morning session, Dr. Marife Garfin, a Health and Wellness Coach, talked about Mental Health in the Workplace and Empowered Parenting. Since majority of ATI 8 staff are parents, the lecture stirred up awareness on how to properly deal with parenting issues at home and at the same time being productive in the office. Overall, it was a common takeaway among the participants that having a grateful heart makes one joyful.
During the afternoon session, Ms. Josephine Hipe from the DOH-PITAHC discussed about applying acupressure to relieve stress in the body and the benefits of acupuncture. Through the workshop, ATI staff learned which part of their bodies to apply acupressure whenever they feel any tension among their internal organs. They also were able to experience ear acupuncture wherein five acupuncture pins were placed in different areas of the ear to target relief in various areas of the body.
The one day activity was part of the month-long celebration of ATI-RTC 8 for the National Women’s Month.
