CFIDP Validation Workshop

BAYBAY CITY, Leyte -ATI RTC 8 implemented the CFIDP Training Needs Assessment among stakeholders in the region in the last quarter of 2023. The assessment collected responses from stakeholders in the region which forms part of the basis for the future strategies and plans in line with the regional CFIDP program.

Results of the TNA were presented to the representatives from the local government units and farmer’s associations. This aims to validate the TNA responses and further strengthen its credibility and reliability.

Level 1 validation had a stakeholders’ workshop where the majority of the identified PPAs among the different stakeholders include TOT on Coco Production, GAP on Coconut Production, Value-adding Trainings (VCO, Coco Sugar, Coco Soy Sauce, Decoratives, Coco Juice), Financial Management and Literacy, and Values Formation and Institutional Capability activities among others. Similarly, it revealed that NGAs, Private Sectors, and the Local Government Units should complement and collaborate in the conduct of activities to maximize resources.

Level 2 validation, participated by representatives of the implementing agencies, reviewed the consolidated Level 1 validation outputs, presentation of the ATI-CFIDP 2024 plan of activities, and a workshop on the IA level where a shortlist of priority programs have been identified. Consequently, IAs signified their commitment to the identified priority PPAs by the AFCs, FCAs, and LSAs.
