DILIMAN, Quezon City – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to drive agricultural development through capacity-building initiatives nationwide. As the Institute transitions from one fiscal year to the next, it remains committed to aligning its efforts with its strategic goals. To ensure sustained progress, ATI conducted the "Keeping on Track: ATI’s FY 2024 Annual Review and FY 2025 Commitment Signing"—an activity designed to assess accomplishments in FY 2024 while strategically preparing for FY 2025.

ATI National Director Remelyn Recoter emphasized the Secretary’s directives during her policy direction: no more excuses, aim higher for 2025, exceed expectations, and declare 2025 as the Year of Tangible Results. She reiterated the need to ensure fair value for farmers and fisherfolk, affordable prices for consumers, and reasonable profits for industry players. Additionally, she urged the expansion of value chain interventions and the promotion of farming, livestock, and fisheries as profitable investments and viable career options for young Filipinos. Director Recoter also discussed key operational and administrative policies, providing clear directives to ATI implementing offices.

Further, the physical and financial performance of its implementing offices were presented, along with key issues and concerns encountered throughout the year. The review provided an opportunity to reflect on achievements and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that ATI continues to deliver effective programs and services to the agricultural sector. In addition, the technical guidance sessions were conducted during the breakout sessions to address specific concerns of each section.

Looking ahead, the FY 2025 Commitment Signing reinforced accountability and dedication among ATI leaders and staff. The event gathered 131 key personnel from ATI’s Central Office and Training Centers, including the Directorate, Division Chiefs, Center Directors/OICs, Assistant Center Directors/OICs, Section Chiefs, Planning Officers, M&E Officers, and National Program Coordinators, to sign and seal the FY 2025 Work and Financial Plans (WFPs), strengthening ATI’s commitment to its targets for the upcoming year.

The event was held from January 27 to 30, 2025, at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
