QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila - Members of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Extension Service Program (RCEF-RESP) Technical Working Group convened for a special meeting today at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Boardroom.
The group discussed the updates on RCEF-RESP under the proposed amendments to RA 8178 or the Agricultural Tariffication Act. This will be the second phase of the program, following the completion of its first phase in 2024.
In addition, plans and activities for 2025 were also tackled including the work and financial plans of each member agency.
Present in the meeting were representatives from the Philippine Rice Research Institute, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, Technical Education and Services Development Authority, Bureau of Plant Industry, ATI, and the Program Management Office of RCEF under the Department of Agriculture.
