DILIMAN, Quezon City—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), through the Career Development and Management Division, together with its network of Regional Training Centers (RTCs), conducted its Annual Assessment for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program for FY 2023.

Participated by the CPD focals from the regions, the activity magnified the importance of CPD in the ATI’s commitment to strengthen innovation and collaboration among its partners, clientele, and stakeholders across the network.

The virtual assessment was conducted last February 27 via Zoom, with the representative of the Professional Regulation Commission-Continuing Professional Development (PRC-CPD) Division, Clarissa Guia. She discussed the development of Career Progression and Specialization Programs to enhance professional expertise. Additionally, she stressed the role of the Philippine Qualifications Framework in ensuring the professionalism and employability of Filipino workers, both locally and globally.

Meanwhile, in her message, ATI Director Remelyn Recoter expressed gratitude to the attendees and highlighted the program's role in professional growth.

Recoter underscored the achievements of the Institute with the PRC, including the accreditation of the entire ATI network as CPD Providers in 2023, and the successful implementation of 537 training and related programs, benefiting professionals not only in agriculture, but also reaching fields of biosystems engineering, veterinary medicine, and forestry.

She commended the dedication of the CPD focals and emphasized the importance of CPD-accredited training for agricultural extension workers in the local government units.

Moreover, this activity aimed to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work among program focal persons, fostering motivation and sustaining their ongoing commitment to offering more CPD-accredited programs for professional development.
