DILIMAN, Quezon City - This year, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), through the Information Services Division (ISD), conducted the iStorya: ATI Success Story Writeshop 2024. The initiative aims to compile a collection of 30 success stories showcasing Filipino farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders involved in rice, corn, coconut, high-value crops, livestock, poultry, and organic agriculture.

The term “Istorya,” meaning “to tell one’s story” in Filipino, inspired the ATI to blend traditional storytelling with modern communication methods. Recognizing the growing trend of online story-sharing, ATI continues to emphasize the value of print materials through this initiative. The Institute sought to inspire the public and encourage greater involvement in agriculture through this innovative approach. The compilation of these success stories will be published at the end of the year.

Ms. Karl Salibio of the Information Services Division discussed the principles of writing a success story.

The writeshop was tailored for feature writers across the ATI network of training centers, composed of information officers, media production specialists, agriculturists, development management officers, planning officers, and project evaluation officers. The writers convened last August 27 to 31 at Alomah’s Place and Nature Farm in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
