PASAY CITY - The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) aligns its efforts with other livestock development implementing agencies in the recent Livestock and Aquaculture Philippines 2024 Expo, organized by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in collaboration with Informa Markets.
The event served as a platform to showcase innovations and technologies driving sustainable development in the Philippine agriculture sector.
Likewise, with over 280 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, spanning various sectors including livestock, poultry, and fisheries, this underscored the importance of modernizing agricultural practices for long-term viability.
Among these exhibitors are farmers, fisherfolk, veterinarians, and agricultural stakeholders.
During the event, DA, ATI, Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), National Dairy Authority (NDA), Philippine Carabao Center (PCC), International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ITCPH), Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS), Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF), and the government financial institution Land Bank of the Philippines showcased their various programs and services on livestock and other related subsectors.
Experts from a range of DA units also served as speakers in various discussions, technical seminars, and lectures. A wide range of subjects were also covered in these sessions with the goal of improving technological advances and sustainable practices in the livestock and aquaculture industries.
The said activity, with the theme “Harnessing Innovation and Technology for Sustainable Farm Development," was held last May 22 to 24 at the World Trade Center.
