Nat’l LSA Union Seeks Stronger Network for Enhanced Agri Extension

DILIMAN, Quezon City- The Agricultural Training Institute, through the Partnerships and Accreditation Division, conducted the 2nd National Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Federation Meeting. 

The event was participated by LSA Regional Training Centers point persons and Regional Federation Presidents. 

Likewise, it aims to strengthen the LSA Network by electing Regional LSA Federation Presidents and by facilitating peer collaboration to formalize the National LSA Federation by organizing its structure and electing key officers.

Below is the set of newly elected officers:

ATI Assistant Director Antonieta Arceo graced the opening program and gave an inspirational message. Arceo extended her gratitude to the participants who traveled from various locations and expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to host the activity, which was led by the National Federation President. Lastly, she anticipates future similar activities.

Part of the program is the review and enhancement of the  LSA Guidelines through a Focus Group Discussion to ensure alignment with the national agricultural priorities. Also, to address key concerns related to LSA operations, challenges, and opportunities for development 

On the other hand, ATI Director Remelyn Recoter expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the participants for their patience and dedication, acknowledging their commitment to the activity. Recoter set the tone for a productive and engaging session as the participants eagerly anticipated her valuable insights and guidance. 

Moreover, all these efforts seek to foster stronger partnerships between LSAs, ATI, and other stakeholders to enhance agricultural extension services. 

The activity is from February 17 until 19, 2025, at the Rural Development and Education Center, ATI Compound, Diliman, Quezon City.
