95 Public Admin Students Explore ATI’s Programs and Services

Quezon City – A total of 95 students taking up Bachelor of Public Administration from the Batangas State University embarked on an educational visit at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Central Office. The activity aimed to familiarize the students on the different programs and services of the Philippine Government, providing them with a real-world perspective.

The visit began with an engaging presentation by Assistant Division Chief Pamela Mappala of ATI Information Services Division, who introduced the Institute’s wide array of programs and services designed to promote agriculture and fisheries innovation and capacity-building. The students gained valuable insights into the role of ATI in empowering the stakeholders through extension and training services.

Adding excitement to the day, the students participated in fun games and agricultural trivia, promoting camaraderie and deepening their appreciation for agriculture. Participants demonstrated their knowledge and enthusiasm, earning prizes along the way, comprising farm products of the ATI’s certified Learning Sites for Agriculture. As a token of appreciation, each student received an urban agriculture kit to inspire sustainable practices in their respective communities.

The visit concluded with a tour of some of ATI’s facilities, including the Learning and Discovery Center, where students explored interactive exhibits on agricultural technologies. They also visited the ATI Garden, showcasing innovative urban gardening techniques, and the studio, where online learning modules and media productions are developed.

This educational tour provided the students with a well-rounded understanding of ATI’s commitment to advancing Philippine agriculture and its potential impact on public administration. Likewise, the activity highlighted the importance of integrating agricultural insights into governance and community development, equipping the next generation of public administrators with knowledge and inspiration for sustainable progress.
