Quezon City- The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) successfully wrapped up a five-day training designed to sharpen the facilitation skills of its personnel, March 28, at the ATI-RDEC Training Hall, Diliman, Quezon City.
The training, "Mastering the Art of Facilitation: Empowering ATI Staff," aimed to ensure a more dynamic and effective training sessions for stakeholders. It focused on key techniques of effective communication, interactive learning strategies, and confidence-building.
Antonieta J. Arceo, ATI Assistant Director, addressed the idea that only extroverts make excellent facilitators during her opening remarks. Rather, she emphasized the importance of practice, creativity, and a thorough comprehension of the learning process.
"Facilitators themselves are the primary visual aids. Presentations are just supplementary tools," she said.
The program covered five key areas: extension communication, high-impact delivery approaches, creating a positive learning environment, effective facilitation skills, and managing challenging behaviors. Interactive exercises like personality profiling, active listening, and role-playing sessions helped reinforce the lessons.
The role-playing session, in which trainees led simulated exercises and got constructive feedback, was a notable part. Top performers received recognition for their outstanding delivery and learning progress.
