Video entries from ATI Regional Training Centers (RTC) in Bicol and Central Visayas were chosen by ComDev Asia as Best Participatory Videos that showcased the different stories on family farming and how the stakeholders worked together to address their concerns in their respective communities.
The video submitted by ATI RTC V featured the biodegradable wastes which were turned into useful bio-fertilizers while ATI RTC VII’s video showcased how family farmers embraced the digital technologies into farming through the Digital Farmers Program.
The participatory videos were the offshoot of ComDev Asia’s Online Training on Participatory Video Production and Sharing held last November 2022, which was participated by the different agricultural extension practitioners and development workers from the different countries. ComDev Asia is a regional initiative that promotes Communication for Development (ComDev) in the Asia Pacific region in support to the United Nations Decade of Family Farming (UNDFF) 2019-2028.
