4H, RBO coordinators lead forward thru better management

Baybay City, Leyte - 4H and Rural Based Organization coordinators serve as effective leaders by ensuring accomplishment of its objectives. The coordinators organize and support all projects and activities of the 4H and RBO, recommend best schemes and strategies to implement the livelihood projects, and support in program assessments.

Continuous skills development is thus essential to sustain the organizations and maintain a positive attitude to commit themselves within the principles of 4H and RBO. Aside from working on 4H & RBO development programs, they also serve as extension workers and prime movers in advocating community service to uplift the living conditions in rural communities.

Mr. Joe Gene D. Dumangas from Julita, Leyte, shares, “I am very thankful because I would say this is an amazing training with lecture-discussion and team activities given to us. I really appreciate the venue and accommodation especially since I gained a lot of learning from our Resource Speaker, Dr. Vilma M. Patindol.”

Newly designated 4H Coordinator in Catubig, Ms. Christine O. Mirasol, also got excited to be one of the trainees. “Through this training, I gained strategies on how to help sustain our organized 4-H clubs and to be an outstanding club in the future. I am very thankful to ATI-RTC 8 and to the training management team because my expectations from the training were met. The group activities we had were all enjoyable and the resource speaker is very generous in imparting her knowledge.

The training served as a re-orientation for the coordinators as to the RBO programs of ATI in the region, while they eagerly learned more about Organizational Management. Further, they tackled the 7M’s of management; Basic management functions; Theories of management; and the Characteristics of an organization among few.

A total of 22 participants attended the Training on Organizational Management for 4H and RBO Coordinators Batch 1 on June 14-16, 2022 at ATI-RTC 8, VSU Campus, Baybay City, Leyte.(With reports from VLAsis)
